The Undeserved Gift

I hope everyone had an amazingly blessed Christmas! This year was Ella's first Christmas home! Every year it is easy to get all caught up in the Christmas hubbub, but is that the true reason for Christmas? The answer is, NO! Christmas is not about the presents, what I got her or what he got me. Christmas is about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. His humble birth in a barn.
Jesus came to this earth born from the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect, sinless life. He was fully human and fully God. He had the troubles and tribulations just like we have now. He came to this earth to save you and me
The greatest gift of the season is the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and His love for us. He wants each and every one of us to accept HIS gift. It is open to everybody, all you have to do is accept Him into your heart and strive to be like HIM. Jesus loves us so much. He loves us when we make big mistakes and He is always there when we come running back. He is there with wide open arms, ready to show us His EVERLASTING love.
I think, the best part about this "gift" is that we can share it! It's not just for us, but we can share God's love with everyone and tell others about salvation through Jesus. We are supposed to share HIS love. It is hard to imagine that somewhere in this world- Guatemala, Africa, China, the U.S., Haiti, etc.- someone hasn't heard of Christ's love. Of course, Christ still loves them, but they don't know about His love. It is our mission to share God's love with those who haven't heard of it yet.

So, what are you gonna do? Are you going to share God's greatest gift?

We don't deserve His everlasting love, of course, but He is always there for us. I know with all of my flaws it is hard to imagine that God still loves me, but He does. And He also loves you, so please share His love and let others experience His never-ending, undeserved love.

I hope that you all had a great Christmas! Have a great New Year!!!!!
Sarah
